Film Fridays (Dec. 9)

Every time I go to my parent’s house I can’t help but waft through old, film photographs. The photos from my childhood have since been tossed into a big cardboard box: waited to be sorted, scrapbooked or make their way to my dad’s Facebook profile. I think we can all appreciate the delicacy of only one copy of a photo or the graininess of film. That thought inspired me to experiment more with film. Also, I was getting a little bored of letting myself run rampant and take a bunch of photos on my DSLR, knowing that if I didn’t catch the light or framing perfectly the first time I’d have a second chance. So, here’s to my new project — taking photos with more thought, preparation and consideration to detail. Raises coffee cup — I’ll be sharing a few of my adventures through film in the coming weeks and TODAY.
