Toronto tastes

Gooderham building, downtown.

The streets of Toronto were bustling full of diversity. Chalk full of cultural cuisines, pubs, textiles and antique shops, street cars scuttled along eclectic scenes. The public transport was easy to navigate and convenient.

Mom and I had great luck with views and terrible luck with food. I’m sure Toronto has great food spots, but we were eager to jump from spot to spot taking pictures, and getting eyefuls of what the city had to offer. As we stumbled into each restaurant, we left with neither extreme pleasure or disappointment. Apathy may be the worst feeling for food, however. My luck began to change after I went to the Estates of Sunnybrook for a friend’s engagement party.

Also, fun fact from the engagement party. I was able to showcase my Bollywood skills by singing the title track from Bang Bang, and no I wasn’t drunk. I’m sure there will be videos surfacing in the near future.

Food from Little India's buffet. I had two more plates after this. Yum!

Then, we discovered the best Indian restaurant I’ve eaten at since I’ve gotten back from India. Their masala chai and buffet of 10+ dishes (veg and non-veg) was a steal. MOUTH. WATERING.

All in all Toronoto was divine and a much needed break from the monotony I found myself wallowing in. We ran, we danced, we laughed, we traveled. I will leave you with a few additional pictures of the trip.

Casa Loma, a famous castle . A quarter mile away from the B&B we were staying at and the steps at the entrance of the estate were a favorite spot for runners.
